happiness in small doses

happiness comes in small doses; i get weary when something awesome occurs, 'cause usually, it's immediately followed by something horrible. man, if you haven't noticed yet, that statement revealed that i'm the ultimate cynic. haha. but i can handle happiness in small doses -- they're good and hearty and warm. (please note that all the sentences below end with an invisible smiley face). :)

un: today is hump day.
deux: the red sox beat the royals last night, and the yankees lost to the indians last night... meaning that the red sox are now 3.5 games up in the AL east. yay, and mwhahahaha to the yankees.
trois: i climbed last night. twas lovely.
quatre: i get a free lunch today. even lovelier.
cinq: it's getting closer to the 5th of the month, which means that my credit card cycle will soon end, and i'll have a clean slate on which to accumulate massive amounts of new charges. we'll ignore the fact that i still have to pay off this month's credit card bill 'cause that interferes with my "happiness" thoughts.
six: my phone rang last night!
sept: all 309 passengers and crew in the air france plane crash in toronto yesterday evening survived. phew.

there, seven spoonfuls. that should last me a full week. :)
