uh oh. (uh oh)^2.

mrmph. worry with me. this headline -- "The Yankees Restore Order to Their Universe" (and the accompanying picture, blegh) -- disturbs my previously-ordered baseball universe. they just swept tampa bay (a team that they'd actually been struggling against during the season) in a 3-game series, and now, they sit only 1.5 games behind the red sox in the AL east standings. and they're half a game behind the indians in the wild card race.

what's left for sept and oct? 3 more games in toronto, 4 against the orioles, 3 against the blue jays again, 4 more in baltimore, and a 3-game battle with the red sox at the end of regular season. think the yankees will keep up their winning streak? hoo boy, i hope not.

posada, yo mama! haha, i can't resist.
