hark the herald...?

every morning on my way into work, i fall asleep on the metro. usually, i make it through 3-5 pages of the washington post's express newspaper before i fold it up and close my eyes, succumbing to the rhythm of the train and the silence of the other morning commuters (and probably sleep deprivation too).

typically, i also have mePod (on shuffle) playing. so whenever a sudden jolt does wake me up (or the person next to me has to get off, or i need to change subway lines), i wake up to music. it's kinda nice.

anyway, this morning, like most, i fell asleep. but i didn't completely pass out and drool. instead, after halfway or so, i woke up and stayed semi-awake. why? 'cause i realized something: i haven't taken my christmas music off of mePod.

so in between black eyed peas, counting crows, and bob marley, i'd randomly get a dose of silent night or let it snow. the first time it happened, it was kinda weird. but then.. i dunno. i like it. :) christmas music is relatively uplifting -- so after eminem's rant and john mayer's mellow stuff, the next thing i got was the muppets cheerily singing, "now bring us some figgy pudding". hehe. life's random. :)
