a month ago, i think i wrote 2006 on one of my checks.

whoops.

boy am i not ready for 2008. or rather, that's not true. i'm ready, mainly because it's not like i'd prepare for 2008 in any other way if i WAS more aware that it was arriving. it's just that each new year surprises me a little bit. and i feel a little older... but not quite old enough to be an "adult".

adult is such a boring word. did you ever notice that? kid is so much more -- umm... kid-like. ah, my arguments are sucky. i need to work on that.

i spent christmas in california.. again. twas okay, twas normal. it's drizzling chilly precipitation all over the bay area right now, which allows me to WANT to stay inside and do work. it's a good thing, right? i miss snow though! what a weird thought. that means that i really honestly have no clue which geographical region i belong in. crap.

ohh.. my brain is hitting mid-afternoon drowsy mode. i've been so ridiculously productive all day today (and yesterday) that i need a nap. or a run in the cold rain. or a loud alarm clock.

are fluorescent lights good for an office environment? someone should do research on how well people work under fluorescent lights, incandescent, what else -- halogen, infrared? darkroom? black lights?
