this thing called sleep

back in the heyday of college, i didn't sleep much. this really isn't anything to brag about, as i totally would've slept more if i could. in fact, i did sleep -- just in the wrong places at the wrong times, like during 5.60 lecture and in half of my recitations even. or while i diligently studied....

and then, to make up for the 2-5 hours of sleep that i'd get during each weekday night, i'd sleep something ridiculous on the weekends. and you know something? if you sleep for 14 hours on each weekend night, that drastically reduces the length of the weekend. ahh, what a circuitous problem.

essentially, the best answer is: sleep a lot.

well, i'd been sleeping a lot for a while (like EIGHT FREAKING HOURS each night!), and i woke up every morning.. without complaining! only a little bleary-eyed! maybe even ready for the day!

no more. i'm back to bleary-eyed, coffee-starving mindsets. this week was a whirlwind:

tuesday night: zero hours (really. nuts, right??)
wednesday night: 8
thursday: 6
friday: 4
saturday: 12

oh summertime, oh summertime.
