ghetto chinatowns

why are chinatowns so sketchy? in every city -- boston, new york, dc, san fran, philly even. like.. you just don't want to be wandering around chinatown at night. and the chinatown bus, wherever you're going, is bound to be notorious for being unreliable, slow, or easily flammable. haha.

so why? chinese people aren't sketchy, are they? i guess hispanic-town or vietnam-town is seedy too... but what about little italy? are we worried about the mafia there? and southie? irish thugs? so really, why is it that any area of town with a predominant ethnic culture is considered not-as-safe?

so sad.. they all serve such good food too..

in other news, if you're curious, check out alllooksame.com -- it's hilarious.. but slightly depressing 'cause i scored a whopping 5. out of 18. i suck. shouldn't i know better?? guess not... :)
