lunch in the park

actually, lunch in the playground.

yup, i often eat my lunches outside in the playground. i used to sit on the benches in the park, but creepy old men would approach, so now, i sit on a bench in the playground, protected by the happy, little kiddos running around. :)

kids are adorable. granted, i might not think that same thing once i actually have kids of my own, but for the time being, they're great. or at least, great to watch.

last week, while i was reading my book and eating, a little boy wandered up and sat down next to me on the bench. and he proceeded to eat the rest of my goldfish. then, his mom, noticing that he was munching away on someone else's food, yelled at him, "isaiah! stop bothering her!" so he smiled at me, hopped off the bench, and ran off towards his mom. two minutes later, he returned. and gave me a pretzel. hehe, i got a free pretzel. :O)

today, some kid was frantically running around the playground in circles with his right hand down the back of his pants. after 10 minutes of exhaustive circling, he squatted behind a tree. and then, a minute later, he stood up, retracted his hand, smelled his fingers, and wiped them on his shorts.

hahahahaha, ew. i feel really bad when his mom discovers those shorts. and his fingers. :)

mmm, just some stories to brighten your monday. man, what i'd give to be able to run around the playground...
