ugly people abound

argh. sneaky. sneaky! bypassing the senate, bush appointed john bolton as the US ambassador to the UN this morning. using his presidential powers to their fullest, bush took advantage of the august recess and sneaked bolton in, whether or not congress approved. presidente says, "i chose john because of his vast experience in foreign policy, his integrity, and his willingness to confront difficult problems head on." what?!?! wtf, integrity? willingness to confront problems? hello, confront problems by providing past documents, not by sucking up to the president in hopes that he'll get you in the door. SIGH. ugly butts.

monday morning, and i'm already tired and frustrated. what a great omen for the week ahead... i need a vacation.

but in attempts at being optimistic and glowing, here's a happy fact of the morning: i ate a krispy kreme donut. :) it wasn't hot or sticky, but it was still fresh and as fattening and yummy as ever. ahhh, the south, keeping waistlines large. and mmmm, it's sunny and hot again in the capital.
